Playing with my ABC
30+ Pre School activities for teaching ABC
This workshop is our first for ECE teachers. The ideas have been developed while working with pre-school children, and with school age children who lacked a solid foundation in letter names and sounds.
As with all Bright as a Button programmes, the teaching activities are child-centred and multi-sensory, catering for the movers and groovers, the artists and the musicians, who all have fun while learning their letter names and sounds.
Our workshops are always inspiring, and this one is no exception. It is crammed full of brilliant ideas for teaching letter names and the basic sounds to four year olds. The activities:
· Are easy to implement – no planning needed
· Are age appropriate (no long times sitting writing)
· Can be easily adapted to the existing environment in your ECE centre
· Will provide a solid foundation for readiness for school
